Named for the standard bearer to 7th Century Northumbrian royalty,  Tácnbora embodies the aspirations of Ad Gefrin, leading the way for what is to come.

Released in batches, each edition represents the peoples and cultures that comprised the royal court.  A fitting metaphor for the Ad Gefrin’s blend of influences today, and our aspirations for tomorrow.

Batch 02 of the Tácnbora combines Irish and Scottish Whiskies, and was awarded a Silver Medal at the 2024 International Wine and Spirits Competition.

Tasting Notes:

On the nose, notes of honey, vanilla, candied citrus peel and spices are backed up on the palate with the flavours of sultanas, cream soda and nutmeg. The finish lingers and coats the mouth with the tastes of honey, vanilla and sweet citrus.
