In remembrance of the Sycamore Gap Tree

Believed to have been planted in the late 19th century, the Sycamore Gap Tree grew to be an iconic and much loved emblem of the North East of England. Standing in a dramatic dip in the landscape, next to Hadrian's Wall in the Northumberland National Park, this historic tree was tragically felled in an act of vandalism in 2023.
