Gouden Carolus Classic | Flemish Red Ale | 8.5%

Gouden Carolus Classic is brewed by Het Anker and is ruby red in colour and is known as the “Emperor’s Beer”. It combines a warmness found in wine with the freshness of beer. This Flemish dark beer has won the World’s Best Standard Dark Strong Ale Award twice both at the World Beer Awards 2009 in London and at the World Beer Awards 2007. More recently, Gouden Carolus Classic was awarded a bronze medal at the World Beer Awards 2021 and a was the country winner for the category of World’s Best Dark Beer Strong at the World Beer Awards 2022. At the 2025 World Beer Awards, it was awarded a gold medal.
